Questions about LOGOS GCS and UAV control
LOGOS GCS supports a wide range of unmanned aerial vehicles:
- Ardupilot: Full control (route upload, sensor calibration, settings editing)
- DJI: Route planning and KMZ export (Mavic 3, Matrice 3*, Phantom 4 RTK)
If you want to use GCS for drones not listed above, send a request to support with a full description of the protocol and drone model.
Automatic flight setup is done through the route planning module:
- Open the "Route Planning" section
- Connect to the drone and make sure it is at the point from which the flight is planned
- Double-click to place the starting point (a takeoff point will be added along with it)
- On the left, in the point editing area, you can change the flight altitude and speed
- In the same mode, add the remaining points with altitude and speed specified
- Check the route for intersections with the terrain using the elevation map located along the bottom edge
- Click the "Save/Load mission" button in the lower right corner of the planner
- In the window that opens, find the "Upload to UAV" button and click it
- In the dialog window that opens, set the available settings and click the "Start" button
- After successful upload, close the windows and start control

The short answer is yes, it does. However, you need to ensure that the video stream is transmitted by the drone and received by the computer running the application. The program currently supports RTSP. The standard task for the setup is to capture video from a video modem connected to the PC and convert it to an RTSP stream. A working example is the Skydroid 5.8GHz video modem configuration connected to the PC via USB and ffmpeg, which converts the stream to RTSP. Once these conditions are met, simply add a new video stream connection and select it from the list — the program will automatically connect to it and play the stream.
Watch video tutorialIf after successful assembly you are able to connect to the drone and upload the flight mission, but it does not take off, there could be several reasons: - Make sure you have calibrated the compass and accelerometer - Make sure you have correctly set the pre-arm checks. For example, the drone will not fly if you are controlling it only from GCS (without a remote) but the arm-check specifies that a remote is required.
If you have performed compass and accelerometer calibrations, but the drone shakes heavily during takeoff, it is likely that the virtual dimensions of the drone in the default firmware parameters differ from your drone's actual dimensions. Go to the drone settings in LOGOS GCS, set the size of the propellers you are using (in inches), and save the settings. After this, the drone should take off smoothly and also perform flight missions smoothly.
Excessive vibration quickly damages motors. Try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible through settings adjustments.3D mode is only supported by the Windows version. This limitation is due to the 3D library used for displaying the map in 3D. Unfortunately, the library developers made it non-cross-platform.
Yes, it does. You need to follow these steps:
- Open the "Flight Mission Catalog"
- Click the "+ New Mission" button
- Open the mission for editing
- Enter a name and description
- Click the "+ Add Route" button
- Click on the route area to plan it in detail
- An area with the name and a save button will appear in the upper left corner
- After making changes, click the save button and the route will be saved along with the image
- Click on the mission name area to return to the flight mission dialog
- Add as many routes as needed
