Please note that when creating a flight mission in an area that has never been used in the program before, you must have a stable Internet connection. Otherwise, high-resolution maps of the area will not be available because the data has not been cached. The same goes for calculating the terrain along the route (elevation map).

Moving to the starting position

To start working, you need to move to the starting point. You can do this in 2 ways:

  • With connection to the UAV: this method simplifies the process of moving to the starting point, since after connection it is possible to click on the navigation arrow 'Move to UAV', which will instantly move you to the location of the one.
  • Without connection to the UAV: use the left mouse button to grab and move the map in different directions, and the central wheel (scrolling) to zoom in and out.

Home and take-off points

Creating a flight mission always begins with plotting the home and take-off points, regardless of the selected mode.
Switch to any of the modes for plotting route points and double-click on the map - the home point will be added.
The height of the home point is always 0. The home point position can be made with drag-and-drop. But this can only be done if the connection with the UAV is not established.
Repeat the same to add a take-off point.
The take-off point can be edited and moved regardless of the connection to the UAV.

Waypoints

Waypoints have distinctive features and are plotted on the map in the same way.
It is important to note that the distance between points should not exceed 20,000 meters. This was done in order to reduce the load on calculating the relief along the route line between 2 points, since for this the app accesses data stored on a remote file server (or in the cache, if such a route has already been generated earlier).
